Accents in English

In an international meeting in the beginning of 2010, linguists from around the world considered that English is no longer a second language, but rather, an instrument of global communication. Changes are expected from this new approach: whereas years ago students were expected to have a perfect pronunciation, now all accents are considered English, no matter where you come from. Quite the contrary, a different accent is a sign of your origin, which has become more and more important in the business world. The way you speak English defines who you are!
